"My Dog Speaks" Animal Narrative in Contemporary Art, as curated by Hiro Sakaguchi featuring work by:
Alina Josan & Amanda Miller, Anne Canfield, Bonnie Brenda Scott, Nancy Sophy, Caroline Picard, Darla Jackson, Erci McDade, John Karpinski, Laura McKinley, Sarah McEneaney, Sherif Habashi, and Caitlin Emma Perkins.
Opens at Seraphin Gallery at 1108 Pine Street in Philadelphia TONIGHT from 6pm- 8pm.
I will not be able to attend, as i will be selling my jewelry at Arts+Plus Gallery in Collingswood, NJ from 5pm-9pm, but if you are in Philadelphia for the evening, stop by the opening before hitting up the bar. I took a peek inside yesterday after the Pafa ASE opening, and was overwhelmed. It is just fantastic. I am so jeal that I am not in this show, but it is SO COOL, i am promoting it without any prior affiliation. Just love, for all of that awesome.

  1. BirdQueen---You are a wonder! I think I am your first follower and very proud of that. I also wanted to attend My Dog Speaks but Mike and I have to go to another event we committed to weeks ago. Sometimes I wish we lived in Philadelphia. We did go to the PAFA ASE "opening" on Thursday night---and it was crowded and loverly---and very... I tried hard not to buy anything as I have run out of space at my place---but I could not resist. I have decided the Philadelphia arts community is amazing---the talent is everywhere and I am being happily buried in it. Here is a funny one for you. Mike and I decided to have dinner after ASE---we were in the mood for Asian food---so I went to Open Table and found a place with a great menu called, Akoya at Pearl. I wondered what Pearl meant but it did not phase me---I reserved a table. It was quiet when we got there---met some friends---the food was excellent---by 930, we were the only people in there---we felt a little sorry for the place---by 10---all of a sudden the champagne buckets came out with the bottle service menu---5000 dollars for a large format bottle of champagne---Moet---all sorts of size minus 2 came out of the wood work wearing sparkles and skinny legs---the Hotel Costes music came on and we were in the middle of dance/body/sparkle fever. It was hilarious---four old farts and 100 trendy? 20/30 somethings. I will stop babbling now. Good luck with your blog. Lis
